2nd Year Anniversary Meeting

This is going to be a quick post.  I want to make sure I get the info for the next meeting posted soon.

We had a great turnout for this meeting.  We had 21 people come to this one.  We had lots of food and free stuff.  I brought some craft books to give away and we had some people bring yarn to swap.  :)

Here’s the photos I took:

The next meeting will be Oct. 10th from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Cox Creative Center in Little Rock. It’s across the parking lot from the Main Library in Little Rock. We will meet at the 3rd floor meeting room. Here’s their phone number if you need directions: (501) 918-3093. You can always ask me for directions but I think they would do a better job than me. :) Here’s their address if you would like to just use google maps or mapquest: 120 commerce St., Little Rock, AR 72201. There is a coffee shop on the first floor of the building. They have some food and many beverages. If you park in the Library parking lot you will have to pay but there is free parking on some of the streets near the building.

Hope to see you there!

P.S.  I’m putting the recipes everyone wanted on the blog.  Just look for them on the right side of this web page.  If there are anymore other recipes anyone would like to add just let me know. :)

Peach Iced Tea Sangria

5 cups cold water
1 cup orange juice
1 tub Crystal Light Peach Flavor Low Calorie Iced Tea Mix
1 cup peaches, sliced
1 cup raspberries
1 cup blueberries

Stir water and juice into tea mix in large pitcher until mix is dissolved. Stir in fruit. Serve over ice.
Makes 7 servings, 1 cup each.

Note: I like to use frozen fruit when I make it. I also let it set overnight before serving.

Twinkie Cake

8 Twinkies
1 - 1/2 cups milk
1 (6 oz.) vanilla instant pudding
1 can EagleBrand
8 oz. Cool Whip
Strawberries

Break up twinkies and place in bottom of a 13 x 9 pan. Mix milk and pudding. Stir in sweetened condensed milk and whipped topping. Pour over Twinkies. Arrange strawberries on top.
